Objectives

·         To promote the highest standards of quality and business practice among member associations

·         To provide a strong, united voice for translation companies when addressing governmental and non-governmental institutions in Europe and the rest of the world

·         To give translation buyers information and advice about the benefits of commissioning recognised translation companies

·         To help solve common issues affecting the translation industry across Europe

·         To make a substantial contribution towards enlarging the European market for quality translations

To assist in establishing national associations of translation companies. Individual companies from countries with no national association of their own can still become members of the EUATC for a period of one year, provided they undertake to establish a national association during that period.

Transcultural Communications Network

The Transcultural Communications Network (TCN) is a non-profit-making organisation for professionals involved in Diversity and Intercultural Communications, Communications on Diversity and European Works Councils.

TCN is a think-tank about cultures, diversity and globalisation. We ensure that decision-makers get to know who the best suppliers and experts are. We provide companies and organisations with strategic information and we offer them the possibility of setting up benchmarks and new creative partnerships. We look into the role of culture in socially responsible business, in the processes of change, performance and results.

How do we go about this?

·         Via a specialised website

·         We publish a newsletter with the latest updates about intercultural communications, diversity and European Works Councils.

·         We build bridges between cultures, companies and organisations

·         We organise “Culture cafés”: specialised, lively and fun workshops on the importance of culture in business life.

·         We involve European Institutions and/or other stakeholders in the public sector.

·         We encourage the use of the European Works Councils as a positive communications tool.

·         We organise specialised European Works Council seminars and round table conferences.

·         We involve the EWC in communications about diversity strategy.

·         We organise surveys into diversity and the EWC.

TCN is not an open market place, it works exclusively with the best partners in the sector, in their field of expertise and in the land.
