With more than 250 language combinations (worth many zillion translated words), more than 3000 tailor made language training courses per year and interpreting work at national and international conferences in the most diverse sectors, today ElaN Languages nv has grown into the preferred language partner of many an SME and multinational abroad and at home.
ElaN Languages was established as Wim Vanschooren's hobby, translating “after hours” for a few local SMEs. In September 1990, ElaN Languages legal status of LLC was created with the cooperation of Eric and Peter Vaes, both active in company life at the time. From the beginning the objectives were clear:
“Offer companies a complete, high-quality and tailored language service with as cornerstones language training courses, translations and interpreting”.
During those first years, the Belgian market was the playing field. Later globalisation took hold and countries like Germany, France, United Kingdom, Japan, ... fell for the services of ElaN Languages!

ElaN Languages is part of the ElaN Group, with now also branches in Russia and France. At the moment there are 6 partners. ElaN Languages works with 30 permanent staff and about 1800 freelance employees.
